Happy Birthday Dad and Happy 10 months to You!

Your dad is 29 today.

He caught up with Mommy.

In his honor, we went to the store and got a balloon.

Even from across the country you are an amazing father, husband and friend.

We miss you every moment but are so proud of you and the many things you are doing.

We love your passion, your faith, your humor, your soul.

Mommy Date

We went to the "Rainforest Cafe" today.

We love having these dates. Well, I do. Pretty much every day is a Mommy date for you but in my mind it is something new and different and we both benefit from it.

You are completely distracted by all of the animals. I love how you don't let it get in the way of stuffing your face, you incorporate it.

This car has hundreds of little statues attached to it's, well, everything. Anything on the outside that could have a statue on it does.

I'm trying desperately to get home to you. Of course, the first time I leave you my flight gets cancelled and the entire airport shuts down.

My First Trip without You

Your dad and I made a promise to see each other at least once a month while we were living apart. This month was a tough one and it looked like we would not be able to see each other. I couldn't get enough time off to get both you and I across the country and your dad only has one day off a week.

So I decided to go by myself. Which meant leaving you.

Deep Breath.

Your Nana and Aunt Heather are taking care of you. They love you. They will take great care of you.

But it's the first time I'm away.

We miss you so much!!!!

Meeting Rapunzel

Mommy got to meet Rapunzel this week. Rapunzel and Cinderella got to play together at WDW for a company party.

Her hair is SUPER long and SUPER heavy.

But I loved her dress, and her flowers, and the utter girliness of her.

Even if it was just for a day....
